Start with the job, then compare the equipment. A larger number is only useful if it solves your particular constraint: energy, room airflow, storage space or lifting weight.
Compare the tradeoffs
Backup batteries
Compare stored energy and rated output separately. None of these figures establishes appliance startup compatibility.
Select at least two options above to see their differences side by side.
| What matters | Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | Anker SOLIX C1000 (original model) | EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 (battery unit) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Key specifications | Its 1,070Wh capacity and 1,500W rated AC output provide a useful reference point for a smaller backup setup. Check each appliance before relying on it. | The original C1000 combines 1,056Wh of storage with 1,800W rated output. It is not the C1000 Gen 2; confirm the exact model in the listing. | The 4,096Wh battery and 4,000W rated AC output provide considerably more headroom than the 1kWh options. Treat home-circuit integration as a separate professionally designed project. |
| Household fit | A focused set of plug-in essentials when a large wheeled battery would be excessive. | Someone comparing roughly 1kWh batteries with different continuous output limits. | Larger measured energy needs and households that can accommodate a substantial wheeled battery. |

Air purifiers
A general CADR is not automatically a smoke CADR. Compare the pollutant-specific rating with your room and the fan setting you will use.
Select at least two options above to see their differences side by side.
| What matters | Coway Airmega 400 | Levoit Core 600S-P |
|---|---|---|
| Key specifications | Coway publishes a smoke CADR of 328 cfm and uses a pre-filter plus a carbon/HEPA filter set. Compare that airflow with your room, rather than its much larger one-air-change coverage figure. | Levoit lists 391 cfm CADR and 606 square feet at 4.8 air changes per hour. Check the exact smoke CADR label and filter specification before choosing it for wildfire smoke. |
| Household fit | A dedicated cleaner-air room where the published smoke CADR meets the room-sizing target. | Someone comparing a larger-room purifier with published airflow and higher-air-change room coverage. |

Water containers
Compare capacity per container with what you can lift. Weight estimates below are for the water alone; add the empty container.
Select at least two options above to see their differences side by side.
| What matters | Reliance Aqua-Tainer, 7 gallon containers (2 pack) | Scepter 04933, 5 gallon water can |
|---|---|---|
| Key specifications | A food-safe container with a hideaway spigot. Each container holds 7 gallons; choose a smaller size if lifting that much water is difficult. | Scepter specifies an HDPE body and a flexible spout that stores inside. Its upright shape offers a different storage option from the wider Aqua-Tainer. |
| Household fit | A household that wants to dispense stored water through a spigot. | A household that prefers a slim container with a pouring spout. |

Four checks before checkout
- Match the exact model. A newer generation, different filter or bundled accessory can change the comparison. Follow the manufacturer link and confirm the retailer's model number.
- Price the complete setup. Include filters, panels, cables, spare batteries and any professional installation. These tables do not publish live prices or inventory.
- Check the everyday constraint. Measure the storage space, consider who must lift or move the item, and check controls, maintenance and operating conditions.
- Keep a fallback. Equipment can lose power or fail. Your plan still needs safe water, written contacts and a place to go if staying home becomes unsafe.

Keep exact model numbers, replacement supplies and household requirements together. Use those notes when comparing the complete setup.

For batteries, use your actual essential loads and check refrigerator startup requirements. For filtration, work from the room's smoke-CADR target. For water, choose a household quantity and a container you can safely handle.
Protecting a freezer or basement requires a more specific plan. Read freezer food safety during outages and sump-pump backup planning before treating a battery as a complete solution.
These are researched comparisons of published specifications, not hands-on rankings. We keep model limitations visible and link manufacturer evidence in each table. Read our research method for the distinction between a specification, an estimate and a tested result.
